2024 aluminum flat bar is a high-strength duralumin, which belongs to the Al-Cu-Mg series of aluminum alloys. 2024 aluminum can be strengthened by heat treatment. In the quenched and just quenched state, 2024 aluminum has moderate plasticity. 2024 aluminum has good spot welds but is not very corrosion resistant.2024 aluminum flat bar is mainly used to make various high-load parts and components (but not including stamping parts and forgings). Such as skeleton parts, skins, bulkheads, wing ribs, spars, rivets and other working parts below 150°C on the aircraft.
5052 aluminum flat bar is a widely used Al-Mg alloy.
